well, i'm not seriously looking there yet, it's more of from casual chats with friends over the weekend on NoVa house hunting and where the deals are that intrigued me to browse Woodson nabes....

BTW, you're right about this house could make it to the courthouse steps - it did and sold for $527K this morning. i think it's a great deal if it's structurally sound. i'm sure it'll be on MLS in no time for about $699K.

I also am not seriously looking at Woodson neighborhoods, but think they are more attractive than a lot of areas. They give you a decent commute to many jobs, a great school district, and generally very low crime rates for the price.

Unfortunately, I didn't hear anything (in the last half hour) that you haven't already heard elsewhere.

It was assessed for almost that exact amount in 2008.
