Hey, Reecon,
The Monster House owner must be lurking here. The price just dropped below $1 mill.:
Hurry, it'll go fast!
Ace-
Other than the house is a monstrosity and I can't imagine ever wanting a 10K sq. ft. house you have to admit that at under $1MM it looks reasonably priced. Paying $100/sq.ft. for a updated house is a good price. Now they just need to find a rich person that has a hoard of children and they will be in good shape.
it would make a good diplomatic residence for a small country, say an african nation or a stan...
lots of room to entertain, just have a shuttle to metro and you could hold great parties there
Yeah, but think of the utility bills!
I was thinking it would be excellent for cat rescue fostering.
Here is a USA Today story about one of our local rescue groups. I do some work with this group and I can tell you that Kelley is an amazing person as are several other people who work tirelessly for the benefit of others:

oops, meant to make that a link:
Sabrina the hospice cat
HB, also, as a potential short sale, the bank may not agree to that price.
Can you imagine the cost of furnishing the place?
Ace-
I agree that is a risk for a short sale, but my guess is they are no longer paying bills so it will become an REO soon enough in which case I doubt they would raise the price much if at all.
Yeah even with Ikea furniture it would still cost a small fortune to furnish it
What is the matter with these people?
This house was for sale forever at a lower price, and didn't sell then.
Instead of making teeny price cuts from a way-too-high starting point, why not get it sold by setting the price right now?
drip drip drip
Happy Father's Day to everyone.
Ace
I agree dropping your price less than 0.5% is stupid and some of their reductions were way less than this.
