The front and rear views of this house paint two completely different pictures as to the quality of the materials used in construction. I hate it when they use brick on the front, but vinyl on the rear and sides (especially on a house of this size and style).

To me, this is equivalent to installing Viking appliances along side the cheapest particle-board cabinets one could find for a kitchen. What's the point?

If you look up "typical McMansion" in the dictionary, you might well find a picture of this house.

I looked at a place in DC not long ago. It was 1/2 the size, and double the price of this place. Funny thing is, I still am far more interested in the DC place than this one.

Check out that previous sell! Foreclosure you think or someone who is just really, um, wasteful.

Who's going to live there, Babar the Elephant? Nah, the construction's probably not up for it.

Thats a really big, low quality house right there.

I mean for something in that price range, it should have better siding, fixtures, flooring, landscaping.

For 600k I would rather have an extremely nice 3500 square foot house with much, much higher quality finishes.

With nice sized lots going for 50-100k out that way, that would be quite easy to do.

Ivan,

I think it was a multi-unit price, since others in the building have the same sales date and price.

"Luxury from stem to stern".

I dunno, the stern (rear) looks very vinyl siding to me.

This listing is a SFH located in south arlington. It's almost 2 miles to the Clarendon metro (and shops). And yet, the straight-shooting, honest realtor describes the property as follows:

"Description: Walk to clarendon shops and restaurants"

I guess the realtor technically isn't lying; after all, you could walk there if you had comfortable shoes and a lot of time to spare. Hell, you could walk to Clarendon from Woodbridge for that matter. But come on, nobody in their right mind is really going to walk that distance and this is clearly misleading people into thinking the house is close to the shops.

I propose a new slogan for REALTORS:

"REALTORS - ENSURING WE TARNISH OUR IMAGE IN EVERYTHING WE DO!"

it's nice but will need a new Bathroom and interior work

it'd be nice at a lower price.
