Northern Virginia Bits Bucket 9/26/2008

Please post your local house search updates, MLS finds, on-topic ideas, and links here.

The banks sure are busy buying and selling in Fauquier County. This is the most bank activity I've seen all year in the property transfers' section.

if I have an MLS # and a property sold very recently, where can I find the selling price?

Buck,

If you don't have access to a real estate agent (who could tell you by looking it up on the MLS) it might be recorded at the county website (scroll down the front page of this blog and they're listed on the right-hand column under "County Assessment Websites").

The local newspaper might help, too. The Fauquier Times-Democrat does a great job at recording transfers for Fauquier, but that probably doesn't apply to most blog readers here.
