Prince William County -- On the Market

These lists must be taking longer and longer to put together. With inventory near all time highs in PWC it seems unlikely that the price declines are done either...
My personal buying plans just changed this week. I am going to be taking a new job that will send me out of the country for a couple years.
I am going to keep following the market because I expect to eventually return here but I obviously have no plans to buy in the near future anymore.
Congratulations, Leroy! I hope all goes well.
We look forward to hearing from you in your new country.
Yes, the lists are taking a long time. I've noticed a flood of new listings, too. The new year and selling season is finally upon us. I wonder if the number of foreclosures entering the market in PW County will trump the number of monthly sales, as is the case now in Culpeper County.
Thank you, this is a really big promotion for me. The Euro situation makes it somewhat less of a raise than it otherwise would be but I am still going to come out ahead by a fair shot, especially in the long run.
I expect by the time I return the market will have sorted itself out as well which is nice.
Anyone know what's going on with Maryland's assessments?
I have a bad feeling that Virginia is also planning to jack up their tax revenues by showing surprising rises in real estate.
This is like the monster movie, just as everyone is sure that it's dead, the camera swings back and you see the toes twitching.
When will the new assessments show up in the online databases?
This blows my mind!
I've always said, it can ALWAYS go lower, even when you think it is impossible to go lower.

"When will the new assessments show up in the online databases?"
Don't know about Maryland but Alexandria's surprise is the middle of February.
Their phrase "2008 Real Property Assessment Information will be available mid-February." means the assessments based on sales activity in 2007 but summarized and released in February 2008.
Assessments just about doubled from 2000 to 2006. 2007 was flat, more or less. My place is in an area that they say went up a little.
