Am I imagining things, or are these lists getting longer and longer? It certainly appears that the number of foreclosures/short sales at "discounted" prices is growing by leaps and bounds.
Harriet, you may have your work cut out for you when the big wave of resets hits this fall/next spring.
That first one at 40% off is actually looking like it's getting close to affordability. I still wouldn't buy it because I don't want to live in Manassas, but that is a good sign.

Yes, I'm finding many more short sales. Note that these were listed just in the last week.

Thanks for the listing in Fairfax. As to the percentage of short sales, it's difficult to say. It depends on Realtors® listing them properly in the MLS, and most don't bother doing that. Also, there can be a short sale without a foreclosure. I don't think the MRIS shows these monthly short sale statistics, either, although theoretically they could.
